The USA’s legendary Barry-Roubaix gravel race took place Saturday in Barry County, Michigan, setting a new world record for the most participants at gravel race – over 5000 – and awarding over $40,000 USD in cash and prizes.
Former euro pro roadie Ian Boswell (WAHOO FRONTIERS) won the 100-mile race, including ~7000ft of climbing, with a time of 5:01:26, just beating Kyle Kalish on the finish line by 1 second. 2023 Paris-Brest-Paris champion Nick Dehann claimed the final podium spot in 5:01:42.
Erin Omara (GREATER FLINT ATHLETIC CLUB) won her third in a row Barry Roubiax women’s title, finishing in 5:14:49. Eden Nykamp and Julie Toole were next at 5:43:23 and 5:23:08 respectively.
David Brower (BISSEL-ABG) won the 62-mile race in 2:43:50, with Lyllie Sonnemann (CXD TREK BIKES) the first woman at 2:59:07.
Fastest in the 36 mile race was Matthew Light (WARSAW CUT GLASS) for the men in 1:37:10, while Lauren Cummings (TEAM CLARK LOGIC) in 1:48:18 took the win for the women.
The 2026 Barry-Roubaix will take place on 18 April.
