The second Millars Gran Fondo in Castellon de la Plana, Spain rewarded over 250 cyclists with golden tickets to the 2025 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships on Sunday 9 March after they qualified by finishing in the top 25% of their age/gender category.

On a 159 kilometer long route, including a leg breaking 2213 meters of ascent, 33 year-old former pro Nick Van Der Lijke of the Netherlands was the first to qualify, crossing the finish line solo in 4:08:38. Pieter Frolichs at 4:10:05 and Alvaro Marza Martinez at 4:10:09 finished in second and third place.

Former French beauty queen Gwenaelle Legendre (ALBI VEL SPORT) was the first woman to qualify, winning in 4:42:57. The 31 year-old also finished solo, ahead of Emelias Graban and Kateryna Kalashlinska who sprinted for the remaining podium places, with Graben prevailing in 4:49:13.
