It seems the long arm of Swiss Sport Integrity (SSI) never rests, with the anti-doping organization announcing it has banned amateur cyclist Kevin Winter, 34, a second time – for an anti-doping violation committed in 2020.

A time trial specialist, Winter was banned for 4 years in 2019 after testing positive for a cocktail of multiple banned substances – Metenolone, Stanozolol, and Testosterone.

Recently SSI uncovered new information that Winter violated anti-doping rules again in March 2020 by participating in the Haselrennen race in a team support role, despite being suspended from competion at that time – a World Anti-Doping Agency Article 10.9 violation: Prohibition Against Participation.

SSI forwarded the new information to the Swiss Anti-Doping Tribunal, which found Winter guilty of violating Article 10.9 and added 2 years to his original ban, while also imposing a CHF 1500 fine to cover legal costs.

Winter may not participate in any sport in any capacity now until 4 May 2025.
