For its third season the worldwide Gravel Earth Series continues to boldly push forward, now growing to 25 races in 15 countries with a 37,500 Euro prize purse for the top 10 overall male, female, and non-binary riders.
North American riders will have the opportunity to compete at eight new events: United States – Lost and Found Gravel, Core4, Gravel Worlds, Rebecca’s Private Idaho and Last Grizzly Gravel; Canada – Festivus Gravel, The Range; Mexico – Gravel Mexico.
Elsewhere in the world Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile, South Africa, Kenya, Italy, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Switzerland and Finland will each hold an event, with Spain hosting five.
Overall ranking will be based on a rider’s four best scores from series races, with organizer Klassmark saying “the most challenging, prestigious, and high-level races will offer a 10 percent or 20 percent point [bonus], reinforcing the [series] fairness.”
To be part of the final ranking and be eligible for cash prizes, participants must complete a minimum of four events, including the final event – Spain’s Ranxo Gravel.
