Last run in 2017, New York’s epic Tour of The Battenkill multi-surface road event will return on Saturday 10 May in Cambridge, New York USA.

The founder and original organizer of the Tour of the Battenkill, Anthem Sports, announced they are bring the event back, albeit with an new name – Battenkill 2025.

Battenkill 2025 will offer a 63-mile gran fondo, 43-mile medio fondo and a 23-mile piccolo fondo, as well as men’s and women’s pro/elite racing. All events start and finish in Cambridge near the historic Cambridge Train Depot & Cambridge Hotel.

For 12 years Tour of the Battenkill was one of the premier American one-day road races, challenging amateurs and European professionals with a stunning Pairs-Roubaix style mixed surface route of gravel, dirt, asphalt and covered bridges in rural Upstate New York each spring.

Although billed as a mixed-surface route, only 20% is on gravel with previous competitors reporting a standard road bike rolling on 25mm tires as the perfect setup – even in muddy conditions. Though, be sure cages hold water bottles tight, else they well be ejected like missiles on the rougher sectors – trust me, I know.
