The 2024 UCI Gravel World Championships taking place 5-6 October in the Flemish region of Belgium has released the startlist (below), with over 2600 elite and amateur graveleurs planning to battle for coveted world championship rainbow stripes.
Leading the field of 292 Elite Men will be 29-year-old multi-discipline world champion Mathieu van der Poel, who could very well add a gravel rainbow jersey to his already impressive palmarès on Sunday.
In total 2157 men and 452 women qualified at UCI Gravel World Series events and signed up to start the race in Halle. The largest field is the 19-34 Men’s category with an unbelievable 531 competitors, followed by 45-49 Men with 255.
Racing begins at noon on Saturday with Elite Women, followed shortly by the rest of the women’s categories and men 50+. On Sunday Elite Men and the younger men’s categories will race.
