With only two weeks remaining before the 2024 UCI Gravel World Championships, the final qualifying race, Graean Cymru, took place in Wales, Great Britain on Sunday 22 September. Over a distance of 113 kilometers Ineos Grenadiers professionals, and cousins, Conner Swift and Ben Swift earned top honors, finishing 1-2.

The pair of pros dominated the race, riding away from the peloton to finish almost four minutes in front of the next riders. Conner Swift (INEOS GRENADIERS), 28, took the overall win just ahead of Ben, 36, in 3:20:51. Ben Thomas and Tom Martin finished third and fourth in 3:25:11.

2021 Tour de France Feminin champion Joscelin Loweden (UNO-X MOBILITY), 36, won the women’s competition in 4:01:16. Just over a minute later Amelia Mitchell and Lizi Brooke rolled across the finish to take second and third place.

325 riders participated in Graen Cymru, with those finishing in the top 25% of their UCI age/gender category qualifying to race at the 2024 UCI Gravel World Championships in Belgium 5-6 October.
