2025 Gravel Grit n Grind results available HERE

With only a handful of events remaining for racers to qualify for the 2024 UCI Gravel World Championships, 500 participants took the the start line in Sweden on Saturday 17 August at Gravel Grit ‘n Grind to try and earn a starting bib for the upcoming worlds.

Winning the 143km gravel gran fondo race was Brit Tobias Perry (Classified Ridley Factory Team) who soloed across the finish line in 3:53:38, followed by Tijmen Eising (3:55:27) and Jasper Ockeloen (3:55:28) who sprinted for the final podium places.

The Dutch Femke Markus (WV de Amstel) won the women’s race in 4:30:28, just ahead of Heidi Franz (4:30:31) and Klara Sofie Skovgard Hansen (4:30:36).

Fastest in the shorter 88km gravel medio fondo race for older age categories was the Dutch Lars Rietveld (W.V.Eemland) for the men and Marianne Sandaker (Moss ck) of Norway for the women.

Riders finishing in the top 25% of their UCI age/gender category automatically qualify to participate in the Gravel World Championships taking place in Flanders, Belgium 4-5 October.
