Starting Wednesday 28 June at 11:00 Central European Summer Time, the mixed surface Gran Fondo Strade Bianche amateur race will open registration for the next edition taking place on Sunday 3 March 2024 in Siena, Italy.
The always sold-out 6000+ rider event is considered one of the most epic and prestigious amateur cycling races in Europe. The day after the professional race, amateurs will pedal 138km over the same Tuscan hills while traversing 42km of dirty white bonejarring gravel sure to blister even the toughest hands.
With riders traveling from all across the globe to participate, keep in mind after two recent Gran Fondo Strade Bianche champions, Mikkel Videbaek 2023 and Onofrio Monzillo 2021, violated World Anti-Doping Agency rules, podium finishers (and random riders) will be required to take part in anti-doping tests administered by the Italian National Anti-Doping Organization (NADO) immediately after finishing.
