In the women’s field, Maria Elena Palmisano (Garda Scott Matergia) triumphed, finishing with a four minute lead over Roberta Bussone in 4:52:07. Sarah Palfader finished third.
Wearing the Italian National Champion tricolore jersey, Marco Provera won the 80km medio fondo, followed by Davide Facchini and Gabriele Depaul. Luisa Isonni improved on her second place finish last year to win the women’s race by over seven minutes. Lisa De Cesare and the former professional Nicole D’Agostin earned second and third place respectively.
