UCI Continental pro rider Jesse Coyle (Nero Continental) won the 7th edition of the Bowral Classic Gran Fondo on Sunday 16 October in New South Wales, Australia.

The 28 year-old rider crossed solo under the finish banner on the 150 kilometers long course with a time of 3:08:55. Lachlan Harrigan (3:09:33) rolled in 38 seconds later with Steven Mayers (3:13:33) another 4 minutes back.

Pro Brodie Chapman (FDJ – SUEZ – Futuroscope), fresh off a strong performance at the UCI Road World Championships, won for the women and finished fifth overall in 3:16:24.

Coyle and Chapman also claimed the KOM/QOM climbing titles as well. Coyle won the Gibraltar climb in 8:45 with Chapman fastest up Oxley(3:57).

Julio Sanhueza won the 120km medio fondo in 3:37:55 with Alice Kendal (4:01:32) the fastest women.

Over 2100 riders participated in the Bowral Classic, part of the five event Australian Cycling Classics Gran Fondo Series. The next event, Snowy Classic, takes place 1 April 2023.
