Due to the cancellation of the 2020 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships in Vancouver, Canada, the UCI has announced cyclists who qualified for the event will be able to take their qualification to the 2021 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships next September in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This includes riders who qualified at the following UCI Gran Fondo World Series races:

11/29/2019 Dubai Gran Fondo, UAE

At UCI Gran Fondo World Series races, the first 20% of athletes in their age group qualify for the annual UCI Gran Fondo World Championships.

The 2021 UCI Gran Fondo World Series season started on 6 September at Maraton Franja in Slovenia.  The next event is 3 October in Baja Luka, where riders can preview the upcoming 2021 Gran Fondo World Championship course.

Unfortunately, 2021 season races are already being cancelled due to coronavirus.  Amy’s Gran Fondo in Australia scheduled for 8 November has been annulled.
