Stage 2 of the 2020 Virtual L’Etape du Tour stage race saw thousands of amateur riders tackle two 23km laps on a brand new Zwift course, Casse-Pattes, featuring virtual lavender fields, Roman aqueducts and the world famous Mont Saint-Michel.

In the men’s race Emmanual Lejeune extended his overall lead to 53 seconds over Stefan Kirchmair, while 16 year-old Viggo Moore and 51 year-old Bruce Bird both rode impressively to move up in to 3rd and 4th place respectively.

For the 3rd and final stage, riders will climb a brand new Mont Ventoux-like course named “Ven-Top” next weekend. With 1480m climbing over 19km it gives pure climbers a chance to shine and possibly dramatically change the final overall standings.
