On a 160km gran fondo course from the port of Manta through Ecuador’s jungle mountains and alongside turquoise water of the Pacific Ocean, GFNY Manta Ecuador put on an amazing event for 250 gran fondo riders.

Starting and finishing in the seaside paradise of Manta, riders were not only treated to a great day on the bike, but also incredible seafood, spectacular beaches and peak season Humpback Whale watching, a spectacle not to be missed.
Sebastian Novoa (COOPERATIVA POLICIA NACIONAL) was the fastest rider of the day, outsprinting breakaway companions Byron Guama and Sebastian Rodriguez to be crowned GFNY Manta Ecuador Champion with a time of 4:14:03.
Luis Enrique Lemus Davila, winner of GFNY Panama, finished 4th.

Estefania Rivera was 1st women across the finish line in 4:45:18 to claim her GFNY Champion title. Daniela Andrade finished 2nd and Patricia Torres 3rd.
100 cyclists also participated in the non-competitive GFNY 72km medio fondo.
