Myagmarsuren (Miga) Baasaankhuu won his 5th overall Gran Fondo Yunnan title today after dominating the week-long Chinese gran fondo race and winning the final stage on 3300m Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.

He completed the 6 stage, 660km race across the Southern Chinese region of Yunnan  in 17:23:29.

Local rider Yu Heng finished second overall 8:13 behind with American Josh Bauer third 14:48 behind.

Annemiek Stegehuis from the Netherlands won the overall women’s title for her second year in a row with a final time of 19:26:34.  50+ year-old Canadian Marg Fedyna won the final stage and finished second overall.  Chelsie Tan Wei Shi from Singapore was third.

Both Miga and Stegehuis plan to be back in 2020 to defend their Gran Fondo Yunnan titles.
