The excitement of the 2019 European gran fondo racing season ended on the shore of the Aegean Sea in Izmir, Turkey at the Veloturk Gran Fondo on November 3.

A total of 1,300 gran fondo cyclists participated in the 100km race sponsored by Lapierre or the 47km Toyota Hybird sprint race.

Countries represented included Turkey, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Iran, Greece, United States, Ireland, Switzerland, Netherlands, England, France, Russia, Belgium, Norway, Philippines, Spain and Ukraine.

The winners of the competition are as follows:

100km men: 1. Gökhan Uzuntaş (Orvelo) 2:42:39, 2. Martinos Moutsios (Greece-Porto Leone), 3. Turgay Germen (İZGEM)

100km women: 1. Keziban Sheep (Bisan) 3:02:29, 2. Esin Yılmaz (YKSK), 3. Arzu Sağnak (Peloton)
