Sometimes you have to think fast on your feet.
26-year old American Eamon did at the Gullegem Kermesse ride in Belgium where he snagged a top 10 finish despite having to run cross the finish stripe after another rider crashed into him during the final sprint.
“As soon as I stopped sliding I tried to get back on my bike but my chain and gears were in a mess. There was no time to fix it because the bunch were coming,” Eamon told Cycling Weekly.
“I handed my bike to a spectator and ran as fast as I could for the finish line with everything I had in my body.”
In cycling shoes with cleats that go click-clack-click and slip all over the asphalt he ran across the finish line to secure an impressive 10th place finish.
Bravo, Lucas.
