Yes. In Italy they have gran fondos during the week, on Wednesdays.
While you were working last week, with your nose to the grindstone and wishing you were out riding, Gran Fondo Luca Avesani riders rolled out on a nice sunny warm spring day in Verona, Italy.
It wasn’t all fun and games. The 120km course included 2500m of climbing in the Lake Garda region. Enrico Zen from the MOBILZEN TREK GIST team crossed the finish line first in 3:28:38 with an impressive average speed of 34.5km/hr.
Tough day at the office…
It’s another reason why I think the Gran Fondo Daily News World Headquarters should be in Italy.
